Mailin Quinones Jimenez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, brings years of practicing medicine and nursing to the community. She is a graduate of the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas, Santiago de Cuba, where she obtained her medical degree. She continued with her training in internal medicine and went on to provide medical care to disadvantaged and underserved populations, first in Cuba and then Venezuela, where she was medical director of a regional clinic. After arriving in the United States, Dr. Quinones Jimenez opted to pursue a Master of Science in nursing followed by an advanced practice registered nurse degree, while later becoming certified as a family nurse practitioner.
Dr. Quinones Jimenez has joined Pecos Valley Neurology, bringing a special interest in the management of dementia, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and neurological rehabilitation. Her commitment and experience with rural and underserved communities will help us expand much needed neurological care to southeastern New Mexico.
